Students from Youth MediaCenter at Ministry of Science and Higher Education visited IKI to learn about X-ray Mikhail Pavlinsky ART-XC telescope and Spektr-RG space observatory.

Russian Academy of Sciences announced the winners of the 2021 competition for RAS awards for young scientists and students. Among them are IKI astrophysicicts Andrei Semena, Ilya Mereminsky, Igor Zaznobin.

On 13 July 2019 a long-awaited Spektr-RG mission soared up from Baikonur to reveal the hidden X-ray Universe with its two telescopes — eROSITA and ART-XC.

As of June 12, 2022 Mikhail Pavlinsky ART-XC X-ray telescope onboard SRG observatory has studied more than one quarter of Galactic plane, which is the wealthiest region of X-ray sky, mostly in the Northern hemisphere and continues to scan it in the Southern.

New Academy members were elected at the General Assembly of the RAS. The results were made public on June, 2, during the Assembly.

The official ceremony took place at Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia, led by the Minister Valery Falkov.

On April 8, 2022, Spektr-RG space astrophysical X-ray observatory marks one thousand days after the launch.
