Luna-27 Concept Presented at the Symposium at IKI Participants of the 15th Moscow Solar System Symposium unanimously supported Russian Academy of Sciences' proposal, envisaging sending two twin spacecraft to the North and South lunar poles within Luna-27 project.
15th Moscow Solar System Symposium at IKI From October 21, more than 150 scientists from Russia and other countries presented their talks on the problems of Mercury, Venus, Mars and Moon studies, as well as giant planets and small bodies, extrasolar planets and astrobiology.
Ten Years And A Half Near The Moon Russian neutron telescope LEND aboard LRO mission (NASA) marks its 15th anniversary near the Moon on June 19, 2024. Having orbited the Moon for more than 66 thousand times, it transmitted around 105 terabytes of scientific data and registered around 20 billion lunar neutrons, We publish a new map of water ice distribution in the lunar shallow surface near the South Pole of the Moon.
Roscosmos State Space Corporation: On Luna-25 mission
First Results of Luna-25 Scientific Instruments Luna-25 mission, built at Lavochkin Association (part of Roscosmos State Space Corporation), continues its flight along the circular orbit around the Moon. Its scientific instruments were switched on several times in the flight and sent back first data.
Luna-25's First Images Of the Lunar Surface Luna-25 mission, currently in a circular orbit around the Moon, sent back first images of the far side of the Moon made by STS-L TV-cameras.
Luna-25 Entered the Orbit Around the Moon Today Luna-25 station, built at Lavochkin Association (part of State Space Corporation Roscosmos), entered the circular polar orbit around the Moon and became its artificial satellite.
Away from the Earth. Flying to the Moon The IKI RAS has completed an express analysis of telemetry and measurement data of scientific instruments on board the Luna-25 automatic station, performed on August 13, 2023 in two sessions of the first activations at a distance of about 310 thousand km from the Earth. All instruments showed full operability and readiness for lunar exploration. Their analog and digital components and blocks worked perfectly.
