Broadband electromagnetic radiation produced by collisions of charged dust particles was studied by researchers from IKI and their colleagues from MIPT and A. M Obkhov IAP RAS through observations in the Eurasian steppe and laboratory experiments simulating the Martian atmosphere. Their results, obtained for the first time, were confirmed by observations from the Perseverance rover (NASA) on the surface of Mars.
