During Space Week in Russia and on the eve of Cosmonautics Day (aka International Day of Human Space Flight), IKI RAS held its traditional open day for schoolchildren, students, and everyone interested in space. This year it was held jointly with the Polytechnic Museum, which prepared an extensive program of events for children and adults — the family festival “It's a Technology Matter: Space”. Five main IKI news and five most interesting world events, which happened in the year 2025.

On 4 October 2025, in the day of the First Sputnik launch, IKI held an annual Doors Open Day for students and everybody interested in space.

At the end of May 2025, an exhibition 'Man and Space: Discoveries and Achievements' opened at the State Memorial Museum of Herman Titov in Polkovnikovo, featuring exhibits from IKI and the Institute of Biomedical Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Dr. Anatoly Petrukovich names IKI's 5+ main results and 5 most interesting events and trends in world space science and exploration.

On Sunday, August 4th, it was the closing day for the Ninth Summer Space School, which took place at IKI starting on July 27, It is an annual event for everyone interested in space exploration.

On April 12–14, 2024, the 34th Oldtimer-Gallery was open in St. Petersburg. This year, it included the third Fest of Technical Museums under the motto 'From the carriage to the rocket'.

On November 25, 2023 IKI opened its doors for everyone interested in space.

For nine days, since July 29 to August 6, IKI welcomed the participants of Summer Space School — an annual event for everyone interested in space exploration.

Professor Sergey Bartalev, the head of the laboratory at IKI and the leader of the project "Space science observatory of carbon in Russian forests" is one of the heroes of the exhibition.
