THE MULTISATELLITE MAGNETIC CONJUGATION (MMC) CONCEPTION
- The simulative magnetic conjugations of the considered list of
the satellites with each other are presented.
- The magnetic conjugation of any couple of the satellites are
selected as soon as its footprints geocentric angular distance is
less then 5 deg.
- Various magnetic field models may be used during magnetic
mapping: Tsyganenko 87, 89, and 96 - for extraterrestrial sources,
and IGRF model - for main magnetic field.
As a default Tsyganenko 89m (IOPT=4, KP=3) + IGRF 2000 model is used.
The one can find the index of the used magnetic field model
in the MMC ASCII file (ex: cnjs0.txt) and GBS MMC ASCII file
(ex: gbst0.txt) on the last column (M_IOPT). See the index of
the magnetic field model description.
- Magnetic mapping stop trace is 110 km above the Earth surface.
