BOKZ Star Trackers

Function

Instruments of the BOKZ family have been designed for precise determination of the parameters for three-axial spacecraft attitude in real time using images of arbitrary starry sky segments.

Description

Star tracker BOKZ is a monoblock including a digital TV-camera with a CCD-array and a power signal processor.

Within the period 1999–2005 thirteen instruments of the BOKZ family were delivered to near Earth orbits onboard Russian spacecraft.

The BOKZ instrument set has been widened with 3 new modifications — BOKZ-M, BOKZ-M24 and BOKZ-2M. The next generation instruments — BOKZ-MF and BOKZ-3 — are being created.

In future we plan creation of a self-sufficient instrument for direct control of the SC angular motion parameters without gyro inertial system support.
